Vista IE - Freezing - need help

My Vista IE has a problem with linking within websites. It will work fine in
the home web site, but after clicking into other web links within the home
website, IE will freeze up or lock up.

During a freeze, I can not do anything but turn off the computer and perform
a restart. With a lock-up I can move the mouse around and sometimes do a
right click to close the program from the taskbar, if that does not work I am
able to do a CTRL +ALT+DEL to end the program.

I have downloaded all of the upgrades possible, changed the mouse, updated
the mouse driver, ran multiple utilities and it continues to freeze. Does
anyone have a solution that I can try?

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) computer repair shop.
