Re: Windows Mail attachments won't open after installing IE8

Aha! Found it under "Windows Updates".

So do I just uninstall it (IE8)?
Will it restore IE7?
Can I then re-install IE8 (after I close down all McAfee components)?

Thanks a bazillion, Gordon ... problem solved!

I uninstalled IE8 and VISTA indeed restored IE7. MS/OFFICE 2007 attachments
can now be opened in WINDOWS MAIL. Great !!!

I'm a little reluctant to try to reinstall IE8 (even if I disable McAFEE
components first) ... think I'll wait for a later build of IE8 as IE7 pretty
much gives me all the features I need.

here on Vista Home Premium....

The problem discussed here is not a problem with *Outlook*.
It's just *WinMail*.
