Impact of turning off "Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections"
Hi
Currently by default we have turned on the above setting on IE on all our XP
workstations (predominantly IE6 with some IE7)

We recently signed up to a web based application that only appears to work
if we uncheck this setting. (The application is hosted on a remote site so we
go through our proxy server to access it)

My question is, if we were to disable this setting for all 2000 users, might
this have a performance impact on internet browsing? I am concerned it might
impact our already overworked proxy server)

Thanks in advance
Andy

I think it will have an impact (no pipelining, no keepalive, etc.), but probably
not much. You may also not get compressed pages from servers that usually serve
compressed. *That* could have a bit more of an impact (data flow rises).
