IE8 blocks videos

Hello Everybody,
I have recently downloaded and installed Internet Explorer 8 for my WinXP
SP2 machine. However, I am finding it that many embedded videos are being
blocked by IE8, even YouTube when the website hosting the video is not
YouTube. Instead of a video, I get a video-sized box with a tiny picture
icon at top left corner of it. Any remedies of this problem please?

Try...
Internet Options> Advanced> Security> uncheck "Allow active content to run
in files on My Computer ."

Thanks for the reply.

It was already unchecked. I checked it for while just to make sure and
unchecked it back again. Either way, the problem with the video did not get
solved. Still looking for solution!

Try uninstalling / reinstalling Flash Player. Use the uninstaller at
http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowled...fm?id=tn_14157
Flash player download:
http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/
