Web page stopped showing full width

Somehow I made a change that caused SOME web sites not to display full width
of the screen. Some, like Google display properly. Others, like eBay, only
display in the center 1/3 of the display. All of the data is there, it is
just shrunken. I did a search, but none of those problems apply to my
situation. The menus, task bar, etc all are full width of the screen. It is
only the website-specific part of the display that doesn't stretch out to the
sides of the display.

I would like to repeat, this just started today. I did a system restore,
which didn't fix anything.

what's the screen solution? can you provide screenshots?

This is normal, many sites don't do this.

When visiting those shrunken sites, look at the lower right corner in
the status bar to see at what zoom level is being used.

In advanced settings for IE, what are the settings for the following
options?

- Reset text size to medium for new windows and tabs.
- Reset text size to medium while zooming.
- Reset zoom level for new windows and tabs.

To prevent word wrap from screwing up layout, many sites will use a
fixed-width page size. If your browser window is smaller than that
width, a horizontal scrollbar appears. If wider, there is whitespace
shown on each side (or only one side if they didn't center their
content).
