IE7 IE8 ActiveX Control for Media Player
We have Windows Media Player video links on our Intranet. If users have IE6
they play automatically. If users have IE7 or IE8, the following message is
displayed:

This website wants to run the following add-on: 'Windows Media Player' from
'Microsoft Corporation'. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to
allow it to run, click here...

I am looking for a way to bypass this message so all users (2500+) do not
have to manually allow and run it. I have been searching for a download to
rollout to all PC's but can't find one.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

J. Barber

Hi J,

What code is being used for the links? Are they using OBJECT, EMBED, or
BGSOUND?
