I had to do that uninstall thing before I could install the new version. I
later uninstalled again and reinstalled and it is still a problem for a few
sites I have encountered. I get an email from one site with a link to their
page so I can view the coupons and other things on their site and when I try
to go to any of the links on that page it just locks the screen as in it
won't run the flash content.

Use this uninstall utility to completely remove Flash Player.

Reboot, then install the most recent version from the Adobe website at
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
