IE 8 Script Error
I upgraded to IE 8 and am running Windows XP and now get a script error when
my computer starts up.

Internet Explorer Script Error.
An error has occured in the script on this page.
Line: 1164
Char 5
Error: Object doesn't support this proeprty or method
Code: 0
URL: res://nmsec.dll/mainwind.htm
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page.

Anyone know how to correct this?

Re: IE 8 Script Error
1. Choose a blank home page.

2. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822521

That fix did not work. I ran fixit but when I rebooted the same error showed
up.

Re: IE 8 Script Error
What's your current home page?

Does the behavior perist if you change the home page to "blank"?

Does the behavior persist if IE doesn't load at Startup?

Does the behavior persist after uninstalling IE8?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed, is your
subscription current, and is it supported in IE8? What anti-spyware
applications (other than Defender)? What third-party firewall (if any)?
Were any of these applications running in the background when you installed
IE8?

Has a Norton or McAfee application ever been installed on this machine
(e.g., a free-trial version that came preinstalled when you bought it)?
