InPrivate filtering in IE8

XP Pro, SP3

I'm checking out some of the features in IE8.

I notice that if I set InPrivate filtering (as opposed to InPrivate
browsing) to "Automatically Block" and then close the browser, the next
time I open it the setting reverts to "Off".

The filter seems to be available even if you do not choose InPrivate
browsing. Does this feature need to be selected each time or am I
missing a setting that makes it "stick"?

Sorry to reply to my own post but have just seen this in "Take the
tour":

"InPrivate Filtering is off by default and must be enabled on a
per-session basis. To use this feature, select InPrivate Filtering from
the Safety menu. To access and manage different filtering options for
Internet Explorer 8, select InPrivate Filtering Settings from the Safety
menu. To end your InPrivate Browsing session, simply close the browser
window."

"Off by default" and "per-session basis" - says it all.
