IE8 folder on startup

Since I have updated to IE8, everytime I start my computer, a Search folder
containing a empty folder uninst_iess.exc launches. How do I get rid of
this? It is very iritating.....

Do you mean uninst_iess.exe? Open Google and use uninst_iess.exe as your
search term.

Check for it in the "Run" keys and the "SharedDLLs" key
in the registry:

To start the Registry Editor, open the Run box and enter:
regedit

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\SharedDlls]

If found, delete it.
