IE8 crashes in urlmon.dll

Hello,

After installing IE8 on Vista ultimate the browser crashes when I visit
certain pages in urlmon.dll.

I've found many complaints about it and tried to follow some
recommendations - disabling add-ons, registry cleaners etc - nothing worked.
There is a patch for this, but only for XP and IE6.

Is there any reliable cure for this? Perhaps some registry tweak?
