IE8 opening blank tabs

Is their anyway to make a tab open blank, as you can in IE7?
I have Things like Reopen last tabs and InPrivate that displays and I dont
want any of that on my new tab.

So why not configure IE8 that way. Have you looked at the user-
configurable tab options in IE8? It's right there. Come on back after
checking if you still can't find it.

However, when starting an InPrivate Browsing session, yep, you will get
a page showing you are now in that mode when the new *window* opens.
