Did you try loading IE8 in its no add-ons mode? Did you *disable* the
Windows firewall? Do you use any ad-blocking software, or a hosts file
to block sites?

Yet tried resetting IE? Internet Options -> Advanced tab

Now and then, I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" with
the following error:

res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htm#

Can anyone help ? I don't know what to do here ...

1. I am running IE7 on 64-bit Vista Business (w SP1)
2. I have run a virus check (w Kaspersky), no viruses
3. I have all the latest Windows updates
4. I power cycled my router
5. Only windows firewall is running, Kaspersky's is turned off.
6. Cleared the entire browsing history in IE7
7. Set the firewall and IE to its factory default settings
