IE8 Script Error at Windows Startup

I just installed IE8. Now when I power up windows, I get this error, even
though IE8 is not started.

Any ideas?

Hi,
Windows XP or Vista? (Might or might not matter.)

A web search for nmsrc.dll came up empty. Find the file on your hard drive
(Use advanced search so that hidden and system files are searched.)
Right-click the file and look over the various Properties tabs to see if you
can determine which program created the file.

I'd be inclined to suspect spyware

I notice this error when opening certain web sites in ie 8. This doesn’t happen in Firefox or opera so there must be a setting in ie 8 to stop this nag. This is the message received on one page:
