IE8 Very slow

IE8 is much slower than IE7 on my PC. Vista Home Premium, Intel 2.93
GHZ and 2GB Ram.

Didn't take me a day to remove it since it seemed like I went back in
time to dial-up speeds when using it to browse with. Okay, maybe not
56K but it sure was a lot slower than IE7.

Tried a few things to speed things up and nothing helped.
