Animated Gif crash

I've installed IE 8 yesterday, and it's the final version, but always when I
open a site that have an animated gif, just animated gifs, it crashes and
restarts IE, I don't know if that's happening just with me or with other
people too.
I'm using:
XP Professional SP3 - Brazilian Portuguese
IE 8.0.6001.18702 - Brazilian Portuguese
1Gb Ram
1.6 GHz
And my computer have all the updates installed from microsoft update.
