IDirectInputDevice8::Acquire fails in ActiveX running under IE8
My company builds ActiveX browser based games. We use DirectInput to capture
keyboard and mouse input. Under IE 6&7 our code works as intended. Under
all builds of IE8, including today's release, calls to Acquire the keyboard
fail, returning DIERR_OTHERAPPHASPRIO. Acquiring the mouse seems to work.
Capturing mouse and keyboard events through Windows messaging works in all
cases, too. Any ideas why this might be failing?
