Internet Explorer 7 and 8
I am a Vista user with IE7. I changed from AOL to another ISP, but when I
uninstalled the AOL toolbar IE shows an error message (cannot find (AOL
Toolbar) address) and will no longer bring up a window - I can click on
second tab and enter a W3 address and it is OK. I could not find way to
uninstall IE7, so thought loading IE8 would work but during install process
get message that it cannot proceed because a leter version of IE is already
installed. Am baffled. Any ideas, please?

Re: Internet Explorer 7 and 8
Have you removed all AOL software listed in Installed Programs (e.g., AOL
Browser), not just the toolbar?

You cannot uninstall/reinstall IE7 in Vista.

Please post the complete (verbatim) error message you get when you attempt
to install IE8 Beta (not that I'd in any way recommend installing it to
correct the problem)?

Start | Run | (type) winver | OK => Post the complete second line of text
you see in the resulting window.

(My CrystalBall┬ę suspects you may have a beta build of Vista SP1 installed.)
