Internet and Firewall.

I search the Internet using Google. Before it was fast. Now, it seems like
the Firewall is holding-up my connection to get information. I can look at
my cable modem, and the activity light is slow to send out the information I
want. It is also slow to connect to an information page within the same Web
sight. It does the same when I backspace. I got rid of Zone Labs and got
Spygate Free Addition think this will help. Is there something causing
this? When I open the Spygate program, I see a lot of ports connected. Is
there something I should disable?

Please state your IE version and full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3;
Vista SP1) when posting to this newsgroup.

And if you disable this "Spygate" (Sygate maybe?) firewall and enable the
Windows Firewall, does the behavior persist?

Good! Oftentimes the ZA removal tool does a better job.

You are not going to find anything better than the Vista FW and Vista in
itself due to the advanced features the FW and Vista are using.
