Problem with IE error

When I got on Myspace OR facebook or some other sites I always get pop up by
saying
Internet Explorer cannot open the internet (url)

Operation aborted..

HELP!

Please state your IE version and full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3;
Vista SP1) when posting to this newsgroup.

Im not sure how to find my IE version?
Mine is Windows Vista SP1

I've had a minor problem with this as well. All I've done is acknowledge
the message, and then hit the "Back" button and the site then loads. Pretty
weird, but with my situation, this is what happens. Oh, and you can find
the version # of IE by clicking on the "Tools" menu which should be at the
far right just below your search box in IE. Then scroll down to "Menu Bar"
and select that. After selecting that you should have a menu bar just below
your address bar. One of those options in the Menu Bar will be "Help".
Just click on that and select "About Internet Explorer". That should pop up
a box telling what version it is.
