Hi,
I've developed a problem viewing the "comments" which are displayed after
the articles on my favorite newspaper sites. One of several things happens:
it just pretends I've not clicked the "show comments" button; it begins
loading and the little circle rotates showing it's loading, but never stops
and never loads the comments; or it does load but takes several minutes as
opposed to several seconds.
I'm using IE7, installed all the latest critical updates (same with updated
Java), service pack 3, and Windows XP home.
Some background that might help... For a month or so, this was only
happening when viewing on AOL. Then, it began happening sometimes when
using IE7. I'd had enough AOL and finally dropped it, removed all the AOL
programs and the McAfee that came with it. Added Norton Internet Security
2009. I thought AOL was somehow mucking things up since it messes with
everything, but I'm still having this problem.
BTW, the sites I use everyday are
www.washingtonpost.com and
www.tennessean.com
