Downloads never save to the hard drive in I.E. 7.0 or 8.0 RC1
Hello,
I seem to have started having this issue about a week or two ago. When Im
trying to download anything from the Internet, I watch as the progress bar
goes up but as soon as it gets to about 100%, the download window disapears
and the file never gets saved. (No, the checkbox to dismiss the window is
NOT checked).
This is with the 32 bit Internet Explorer browser. If I use the 64 bit
Internet Explorer browser, it downloads what ever I instruct it to and saves
it to the hard drive just fine.
It does NOT matter where I try to save the files, be it on the desktop, or
on my C, D, or E drives. Even if I choose to open instead of save, it will
get to 100% and then disappear when using 32bit Internet Explorer.
I am running Windows Vista 64 bit
8GB RAM
Internet Explorer 32 bit version 7.0.6001.18000
Internet Explorer 64 bit version 7.0.6001.18000 64-bit Edition
I need to run the 32 bit edition daily as that's what my real life work
requires me to run because I need to use the Flash Plugin on a daily/hourly
basis (all the damn time) and since there is no Adobe Flash Player for 64 bit
browsers just yet, Im stuck with 32 bit internet explorer. And my work also
requires me to download attachments in my email on Gmail and Hotmail which
now means I have to run the 64-bit edition of I.E. unless someone can cure
this problem of the 32-bit edition of Internet Explorer not completing the
downloads.
Thanks if you can help me out on this.
