IE 8 Wont Open

IE 7 Stopped working for me so I downloaded IE 8. I would click on IE 7 and
nothing would happen at all. Now, with IE 8 it opens briefly and immediately
closes. I have restarted my computer, reset internet settings and downloaded
and installed all windows updates. I dont know what else to do.

Installing IE8 *Beta* only served to compound the problems you'll have
resolving the real problem.

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting the requested logs
in an appropriate forum.

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA or Geek Squad) computer repair shop.
