APPLICATION ERROR disaster. Renders computer unusable.
At desktop XP SP3 StartUp: Click IE7 brings insert box referencing
C:\Windows\system32\v2\v2inet.dll.
Contains recognition pattern of SPR/TOOL.SPY.PCPANDORA.A.
Default at Deny Access. Whether OK that or Quarantine, any other option, up
comes,
iexplore.exe. Application Error.
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022). Click OK to
terminate..."
When do so am returned to my StartUp screen nothing else; cursor is "arrow"
not
"hourglass" or absent.
Click it again, same result. Will appreciate help in this catastrophe.

Tried Ctrl Panel/program uninstall-- AVIRA. Result, soon after starting
removal of items spontaneous computer shutdown. Not crash.
Restart brought up normal StartUp screen complete with assorted icons and
lower task bar. But no action when went back to retry Uninstall.

Tried two RESTORE points at SafeMode. Each showed "incomplete restoration";
and with same insert box: ANTIVIR GUARD: ATTENTION, DETECTION.

It is not a virus inasmuch as this occurred immeiately after a 3 hour
complete AVIRA scan. Virus and various other categories all 0. Except 8
Warnings, 4 Master Boot, "device not ready"; 4 from Archives, "Could not be
opened", which included
Windows\system32\drivers\SPTD.SYS.
