Unable to install IE7

I recently got Windows XP Professional on my computer, but I currently have
IE6. When I've come to install IE7 or IE8, it says that my Windows operating
system doesn't support the installation.

Any ideas what the problem is?

Have you updated your XP Pro installation. Do that first to at least Service
Pack 2, then try it.

Start | Run | (type) winver | OK

What does the second line of text say?
