High CPU uasage during scrolling

Since installing this update:

Windows XP Update for Windows XP (KB967715) Thursday, February 26, 2009
Microsoft Update

any scrolling causes CPU usage to exceed 93% resulting in a very very long
screen freeze. Why???? Same result using IE7 with no addons. Only since
the update above. Firefox works fine and does NOT cause CPU usage to shoot
up / screen freeze during scrolling.

What process is taking up the majority of CPU resources? (Open Task
Manager to find out.)

Please state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3; Vista SP1) when
posting to this newsgroup.

On its own, KB967715 only creates an empty Registry key when you reboot so I
dunno how installing it might be related. Are you using a wireless
(notebook) mouse with a USB receiver? Does uninstalling KB967715 resolve
the behavior?
