sharepoint 2007-default column issue
Hi,

Am Karthik working as customer support engineer.one of my customer asks me
to change the default column (Name column)value.
my problem is,
"In a particular site column name(Name),need to rename as 'Doc No'.
'Name' is a default column which cannot be renamed. But we tried in a
different way, create a new column called as 'Doc No' and get the values from
the 'Name' column"

Thats also not possible.the following reply i got from microsoft private
newsgroup:
"1. Go the Create Column page, type the column name Doc No.
2. Select the option 'Calculated (calculation based on other columns)'
under 'The type of information in this column is'.
3. In the Formula text box, enter:
=[Name]"

If its not possible via buitin solution ,kindly guide me to go with
programming.

Is there any way to do that.?
Please help me to finish this issue

Regards,

Karthik S
