Internet Explorer 8

I'm running Internet Explorer 8 Version 8.0.6001.18372 and Windows XP
Professional 2002 SP3.
The "recent pages" function does not work.
The overall performance is not good with many crashes requiring a shut down
of the IE.
Any help would be appreciated.

Do you understand that IE8 RC1 is still a beta build?
