Internet Explorer 8 General Comment

This comment is about IE 8 RC1. I had used Beta 2 with few minor problems.
After installing IE 8 RC1, the computer rebooted and said that Windows XP Pro
had encountered a major system restore. The system was very unstable and I
had to uninstall IE 8. I hope this is not what is about to be released as the
end-user IE. I tried this one two different computers and had the same
problem. I have returned to IE 7, which works fine except for the ultra-slow
phishing filter, which truly makes the browser slow at times and even helps
IE 7 lockup. I have had IE 8 working before and Microsoft has improved the
new equivalent of the phishing filter. It is odd that Beta 2 worked better
than RC1. It did have lots of bugs but it did not wreck the system when
installed.
