Can't move IE favorites from one PC to another?

Hey all,

I need to add my internet explorer favorites folder from one computer (XP
with IE 8 RC1) to another (Vista with IE 8 RC1). I copied the favorites
folder from the first computer and moved it to the second computer. I placed
that folder in:
C:>users>my user name>

Everything looks fine as that new folder does contain all my desired
favorites.

But when I open Internet Explorer now, I have no favorites at all. Not the
new ones, and not even the old ones that were on the computer before I tried
this. It just says "empty" when I try and go to my favorites within IE.


I then tried to actually export the IE Favorites file from my Internet
Explorer on the #1 PC and import that file into internet Explorer on my #2
PC. This actually works perfectly until I shut down my system and restart
it. After a restart my IE Favorites are once again no longer there and I
have to re-import that file to get them back in there.


Any idea what I can do to get my IE favorites in this second PC?
