Re: "startup" tab on "system configuration utility"
Without knowing what specific item you are referring to, the best anyone
can suggest is generic troubleshooting:
1- [Best method] Open the application that launches at startup, go
through its menus, find the option that starts the program with Windows,
change that option.
2- [Next best] Remove the shortcut to the executable from the Startup
folder.
3- [Next best] - Contact the program's technical support and ask for
their advice.
4- Uninstall the program.
5- [Worst idea] - Play around in the registry.
If the application you have in mind is malware, none of the above will work.
