IE 7 problems,using Vista

I am having problems accessing websites. They relate to secure areas. I use
BrightHouse Cable internet. The sites I am trying to access inlude a
University admissions website, a State of Florida website, and my internet
provider's website. The areas I am having trouble with are after logging in.
I can log in, and then I get messages that I don't have access or I timed
out. They are all telling me it relates to my Internet Explorer. I have
tried this with all firewalls turned off, virus scans turned off and hooking
striaght to the modem.

I have had 3 peopld from Brighthouse here. They have tested everything on
their side. It is all good.

Note: I have had messages that I don't have cookies enables, when I do, and
at times I have a lot of jscript errors. Also my CD/DVD player/writer has
stopped working.



I truly appreciate any help you can provide.
