Proxy Config

How can I force via GPO ie versions 6+ to use my proxy when in my lan versus
not when outside (for laptop users).

Currently, I have a wpad file hosted and configured with DHCP option 252 as
http://wpad/wpad.dat where my DNS has the alias for my web server. This
works perfect for Firefox such that when these clients are on the lan, they
go to my proxy as desired but ie is not?

Check your LAN settings in IE.

Having "Automatically Detect Settings" checked does work, where as it does
in Firefox. Do you know of any automated method by use of a wpad file such
that ie 6+ will retrieve and use it? That way I can force that setting in my
GPO and the browsers will work everywhere...

I can't think of how the file would execute. I guess one of our resident
geeks could probably figure out how to configure it, but it would be
complicated.
