Visual C++ Runtime Error Abends in IE 7

Several weeks ago I began getting an ABEND in IE 7 with a dialog message that
states "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error

Program C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe

R6025 - pure virtual function call"

It has gotten progressively worse, to the point that this happens nearly
every time I close a tab, or reopen an already open tab. Most times (not
always) I then get a "Internet Explorer has stopped working" message, then
most times (not always) it tries to restart IE, which is usually (but not
always) successful.

This is getting to the point I'm about to stop using IE at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Vista Home Premium 32 bit SP1, all known updates installed.

Hi,
Start Internet Explorer without add-ons from:
Right-click the IE icon on the desktop. Choose Start without add-ons.
or
Programs> Accessories> System tools> Internet Explorer (no add-ons)
If the problem goes away, you have an incompatible browser add-on installed.
