IE7 - Problem w/clicking on a button & Hanging Up
I have two issues to ask about. It happens on more than one computer. I have
a pc hp pavilion a1240n w/XP and hp laptop (not w/me so don't have the model)
but has Vista.
I have all of the current updates that I know about including the
appropriate service packs for the proper os.
The pc is dsl via bellsouth and the laptop is wireless bus via Verizon.
1) When I click on a button 'no matter where or what program' I have to
click it 3 or 4 times before anything happens. Yes, I am pausing to allow
time for it to work. This never happened with ie6. Is this correlated with
ie7?
2) When using the internet whether having one tab open or two tabs open the
internet just freezes and sits there. Then it will say internet explorer has
incountered a problem and and asks if I want to restart, stop it or wait for
the program to respond. Sometimes it automatically closes without me
selecting a response and sometimes it automatically restarts.
No I don't have spyware or malware. That has been checked. I have Norton on
the pc and Macafee on the laptop. I also have windows defender a firewall etc.
I have been through many of the steps and even had techs try to troubleshoot
but I am still having problems. My programs work it is just annoying to have
to keep restarting. And if you finally find something and it quits then you
lose the page.
Any suggestions?
Thank You.
