Media Player 11 not working

My windows media player works fine in windows but when I try to access a .wmv
or .mp3 file on the internet it only gives me the option to save it. I have
checked the file types and everything is checked. I am running SP3 and XP
media edition.

Have you tried using Windows Media Player to reset the file associations?

Step one:
1. Open Windows Media Player.
2. Select Tools||Options.
3. Click the "File Types" tab.
4. Remove all checkmarks.
5. Click Apply.
6. Click OK.
7. Close Windows Media Player

Step two:
1. Reopen Windows Media Player.
2. Select Tools||Options.
3. Click the "File Types" tab.
4. Click Select All.
5. Click Apply.
6. Click OK.
7. Close Windows Media Player
