XP pro sp3, IE7, WMP9, 11 Embedded streaming video not working
Streaming video of WMP stopped working. Unable to view an uploaded video
(.mpg) on snap fish with my wife's login yet if I login to my windows account
I can view the video from the same page. It just shows the embedded WMP with
the black screen and in the "Ready" state. If you right click you can get
the error code (C00D1197) which didn't help. This occured while trying to
help someone else troubleshoot the same problem while trying to view the
video on snap fish. I was logged into my wife windows account and was
looking at all of the various options while remotely connected to friends
computer. Since my wife uploaded the video we had the original locally,
which was from our digital camera in .mov format. Looks like Snap fish
converts the file to mpg. I think it may be reproducable but I don't wan't
to pooch other accounts. Here's how it happened...While logged into my wifes
account I was on the snap fish page and watched the video...no problems. I
then opened WMP and tried to open the .mov file just to see what it would
do...failed of course. Then I noticed that I could no longer watch the video
in Internet Explorer which I just watched minutes ago. Closing, rebooting,
change a bunch of settings didn't help. But if I log into my windows account
no problems. Seems there must be some hidden configuration setting
(triggered by the failed attempt) assoicated with my wifes account and not
really a software problem. Any help greatly appreciated
