1. Open QuickTime and click on Edit||Preferences||QuickTime Preferences...
2. Next click on the Browser tab
3. At the bottom of the Browser tab click on the "Mime Settings..." button
4. Open the "Image" catagory and remove the checkmark from the box next
"Tiff Image".
Keep in mind that if you want TIFF images to display inside the Browser you
need to have a third party Add-on like QuickTime installed.
See this TIFF image test page:
http://www.alternatiff.com/testpage.html
If you have QuickTime installed and you have the "TIFF Image Mime Type"
associated with QuickTime(see above) you will see the images on this test
page displayed in the IE Browser. If you remove the Mime Type association
from QuickTime(as described above) you will see place holders instead of the
TIFF images at the test site.
There are other third party add-ons other than QucikTime that will render
TIFF images inside the Browser, but you must have either QuickTime or
another third party add-on installed if you want TIFF images to be rendered
inside the Browser.
Good luck,
