IE7 favourites

Hi can any one tell me why my favourite icons and links have disappeared now
i have installed IE7.It has been suggested that i simply turn on updates but
this was always on to no avail.
Secondly on certain websites my connection is completely lost without
warning something that never happened before,any genius's out there.

Please state your full Windows version (e.g., WinXP SP3) when posting to
this newsgroup.

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)? Were any of these applications running
in the background when you installed IE7?

Dinny,

Did your Favorites Toolbar disappear, or did the actual icons and links
disappear from othe Favorites menu?

The sites that you are visiting could be causing the connection to drop,
as per their connection timeout settings. Depending on the timeout settings
that your IE7 has allowed, and the site has allowed, may be the problem that
you are facing.
