I use Vista SP1 & IE7. I receive a lot of .mht files attached to email
messages. I can not open them.

I have changed settings in my virus software to allow these file types. I
have copied them to my desktop and tried to open in IE7, no luck.

Any suggestions?

This is the html file usually contain MS office data in it. Repair or
Reinstall your Ms Office. If still it does not work for you, then the
attachments may contain virus in it.

I can open MHT files with IE6, Avant browser and Word.
