no dialog box when trying to add search providers in ie7

Recently when I tried to add more search providers, the instructions said to
click on a box, but there is no box to check. is ther a fix for this? Thanks

Then long way; Tools | Internet Options | General tab....Search
section...Settings button.

This is what I have been trying but I dont get the box to save the setting.
By the way I am using win xpsp3
