Re: IE7 - Reset

It resets the *settings*. It is not an image backup to let you restore
to some prior state of software installs and file set.
When you click the Reset button, a warning dialog appears asking if you
really want to reset back to default *settings*. There's even a link
there titled "How does resetting affect my computer?". Click and read.
Otherwise, just search IE's own included help to search and read their
help article "Reset Internet Explorer to the default settings".
Updates are not removed. No software gets uninstalled. Settings are
restored to install-time defaults. Add-ons will be disabled because
they were not included in the install-time settings but that does NOT
uninstall the add-ons (but you may have to reinstall an add-on to get
the linkage to work for an add-on to be usable in IE).
