IE7 wont add Ebay Links to favourites bug

My wife discovered IE7 won't add ebay links to favorites - typically:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CUTLERY-FLATWA...2%7C240%3A1318

Yes it is a long link - but it's typical of Ebay if you "browse" for items

IE7 doesn't even give you an opportunity to shorten it either - it doesn't
get that far - it just refuses to add it

I can work around it

IE 7 does, in fact, save Favorites from Ebay - but you have to shorten
the name.

IE7 here gave me a warning about the link being too long to save, but when I
closed the warning message I was able to shorten it in the Dialog box and
save it as a favorite.

Make the link shorter with TinyURL and you're good to go.

Or just uninstall/reinstall IE! <eg>

She did say it came up with a warning - but she clicked 'something' and now
it just wont save any ebay links or open a dialogue box - even on a complete
different user (me)

..

Sounds like the only solution

....I'd say you've got other problems now and that uninstalling/reinstalling
any IE version's not going to help.
