Who ate my cookies?

After 2 or 3 MS/Windows/XP autoupdates, my cookies have suddenly disappeared
and won't reappear as I surf the web. I've checked all the privacy settings
in the I/E options, etc., but the Temporary Internet File remains completely
empty. Any ideas what I do net?

Windows/Microsoft updates don't erase cookies or prevent them from being
written. Something else is causing your problem. I suggest reviewing the
settings in your security software.
