File download problem

Hello,

Since few days, i am facing this problem.

At the time of downloading a file through IE, after choosing path to store
file, download window is showing me progress. But once, download completes,
Download window disappears, even though , "Close Window After Download
Complete" checkbox unchecked....and i am not finding downloaded file, in the
path where i choose.

I am using Vista ultimate and IE8 beta 2. I uninstalled ie8. In IE7
also...same problem. I opened in no-addin's mode. But no luck.

I am facing this problem to all kind of downloads.


Any one faced same problem? give me suggesions...

Hi,
A reset of IE settings is worth trying.
With the warning that a reset will delete autocomplete data, such as
passwords and you will have to reinstall or re-enable browser add-ons, work
through this article:

If the culprit is not a browser add-on, look for a third-party program
(probably a security program) as the cause.

Note: It may be necessary to uninstall, instead of merely disable, a program
to resolve this issue.
Some programs require that an uninstaller program be run.

Vista x64 Edition by any chance? Is Vista SP1 installed?

What anti-virus application or security suite is installed and is your
subscription current? What anti-spyware applications (other than Defender)?
What third-party firewall (if any)? Were any of these applications running
in the background when you installed or uninstalled IE8B2 or when you
installed Vista SP1?
