DUN icon in system tray

I use windows xp pro and ie7. I had to reformat my hard drive and now my
conndction icon does not appear in the system tray where I need it for
monitoring and disconnecting. How do I get the dun icon in the sytem tray?

Control Panel\Network Connections open it and right click on the LAN connection and select Properties. Look on the bottom of box that opened for you
