How do I get Flash files to run?

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate with IE 7 and all available updates on a
fairly new computer with plenty of memory.

When I try to run a flash file on a web site such as:

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivo...7SK_&play=true

I get a message that reads "This content requires Adobe Flash Player 9
Please click here to install it.

When I click on the link it takes me to the Adobe download site which says:
"Sorry, your platform is not supported.

The file plays as it should using Mozilla Firefox for a browser but not IE7.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. Download and Run the manual Flash Player Uninstaller:

2. Download and Run the manual Flash Player Installer:
http://www.macromedia.com/go/full_flashplayer_win_ie

Possible solution #2:

Open a Flash Player technical support via "webcase" at:
http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/
