address bar problem
How do I fix my address bar so I don't have to type www. before the website name? Until a few days ago, "http://" was displayed in the bar and I could just type in the address and hit enter. That is missing now and I get a box that says "Windows cannot find whatever the name is--(ie Ebay). Check the spelling and try again" If I type www. before the name or hit CTRL Enter I reach the site ok. I was using IE 7 when this happened so downloaded the new 8 Beta but still have the problem. Any suggestions?

Use this registry fix:

After downloading, right-click and merge.

Then, spend some time reading...

Check this setting..
Internet Options> General> Languages> uncheck "Do not add 'www' to the
