The screen refreshes every few seconds, clearing anything (reverts to
previous detail ) I have typed in to the address bar. This means the address
bar is impossible to use. Help

How recently did you install Vista SP1? Did you install it via Windows
Update or manually?

Is Automatic Updates enabled? Can you check Windows Update manually and
successfully?
