scroll jumping with logitech
first some background. i am using windows xp sp2 with a logitech usb wheel
mouse on mouseware 9.7. (i should state that i have to use 9.7 because any
later release, disables wheel scrolling in the major applications i run on a
daily basis, which is a telnet application called pueblo)

so anyway, it appears that there has been a common issue since the release
of IE7 and into the betas of IE8 that when used with a logitech mouse, it
cause whats seems to be a scroll jumping issue with wheel scrolling. ie: 1
click on the wheel equales around 5 long sloww scrolls on the window. from
scouring the web, it seems the consensus on the fix is to activate MS office
compatibility scrolling only and scroll in active window only. the problem
with this is its not a fix, its only a partial workaround. by activacting
these options in mouseware, it deactivates wheel scrolling ability in other
applications that i use mentioned above. this issue is not existing in IE6.
are there any other known fixes for this issue? as i have stated, i cann't
upgrade my mouse driver or enable ms office compatibility scrolling only. i
have already tried reinstalling my drivers. i would like to move on to using
the newer IEs but not at risk of not being able to properly use my other
applications. for now though i am still using IE6.

thank you for any assistance offered.
